Prior to taking over as Head Coach for the SNC Men’s Lacrosse Program in 2017, Day was the Defensive Coordinator for 2 years at SNC. During this tenure, the Eagles boasted the #1 scoring defense in the nation allowing just 4.3 Goals per Game (5 goals below the national average).
Day hails from Washington D.C. where he played high school lacrosse for Lake Braddock. Coach Day was recognized for his exceptional play during his tenure by being named All-Region and earning a coveted roster spot in the Northern Virginia All-Star Lacrosse Game in both his Sophomore and Junior years.
Upon high school graduation, Coach Day continued his secondary education at George Mason University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Biology and Chemistry. Coach Day continued to follow his passion for science, fitness, and athletics by becoming a certified personal trainer. Prior to arriving at Sierra Nevada College, Coach Day served four years as the Defensive Coordinator for the Freedom High School Men’s Lacrosse Team. In addition to Coach Day’s position with Freedom, he also served as the Strength & Conditioning Director for the Eagle-Knight Lacrosse Club in Virginia.
