I try to stay away from live tackling in practice as much as possible, but sometimes it’s necessary to work Open Field Tackling.

Georgetown’s Kevin Warne introduced us to a similar version of the drill that takes place inside of 12 yards or so from four corners on the field.
The defense has to physically engage in a hurry and the offense has to soak continues. We sometimes called it Georgetown 1v1s or Hot Corners 1v1s. They might have called it that too. Others call a variation of this drill Twist 1v1s.
